Lympstone has a compact and charming character and is not without some unusual architectural features. Having an opportunity to paint in this location was greatly enhanced by outstanding spring like sunshine on 29th February. Finding a position looking back into the village offered a composition not without it's challenges. Using a 16"x12" canvas I managed an interpretation with a warm feel.

I had intended this blog to be of a more technical nature but I couldn't let a day such as this go without recording it. Whatever the merits or otherwise of the painting it was worth it for the pleasure of being out there on such a day.
